    Hello everyone,
Here is a method for editing the save data of the recent Virtual Console releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. It very likely works on Green, but this hasn't been tested.
NOTE: If you are using MetropolisJ's Editing program then you do not need to rename the sav.dat just keep it as is.

    1. If you don't already have a save file, start a new game and progress to the point where it allows you to save.
    2. Exit the game and open SaveDataFiler, scroll down to the relevant title ID (listed below) and hit Y to export the save data onto your SD. The exported save can be found in /filer/UserSaveData/YYYYMMDDHHMMSS/titleid and should be called "sav.dat".
      • Yellow: 01712
      • Blue: 01711
      • Red: 01710
    3. Find a way of transferring this file to your PC; I recommend microSD Management or ftpd.
    4. Make a backup of "sav.dat" somewhere and name it something like "sav.dat.bak". Rename the "sav.dat" that you wish to edit to "sav.gb".
    5. Launch Pokemon Save Game Editor and open your "sav.gb" via File>Open. Edit the save as you see fit and save the changes. Click "ok" and close the editor.
    6. Rename "sav.gb" to "sav.dat" and place it in /filer/UserSaveData/YYYYMMDDHHMMSS/titleid.
    7. Open SaveDataFiler, scroll down to the relevant Title ID and hit R+X to delete the Secure Value. Then switch over to the SD tab and import your edited save.
    8. You're done; start your game and enjoy.

    Happy Save Editing!
