Gust provided details in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine for their recently announced PS4 and PS Vita title, Blue Reflection, with more on the characters and story that revolves around bonding and interacting with others. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Blue Reflection is listed as a “Heroic RPG” as its genre. Mel Kishida is the game’s character designer, Junzo Hosoi as the producer. Writers Keiichi Sigsawa, Yusaki Igarashi, and Koji Natsumi are also involved in its work as series organizers.

The bond and interaction between people is the theme of Blue Reflection, and you’ll get to witness the everyday lives of youth. In addition to classmates, there are various students that you’ll get to interactive with and deepen your bonds. Such relations with people is the big theme and focus of the game.

    Hinako Shirai (CV: Yuki Takada)

The game’s protagonist. She was getting attention as an up-and-coming talented ballet dancer; however, one year ago, she was supposed to compete in a contest that would have been her gateway to success as a ballet dancer, but she had to give it up after injuring her foot. Since then, she hasn’t been able to dance due to the aftereffects. Her heart is currently sealed, but she continues believing that her foot will heal one day, and that she’ll be able to dance once again.

As the gloomy days go by for Hinako, she meets two girls who give her a mysterious power. This magical power transforms her into a “Reflector,” and gives her the power to fight. Hinako continues fighting with the selfish hopes of her foot healing by fighting as a Reflector, but she begins to wonder about who she is fighting and why she is fighting. Her fight eventually changes the world.

When transformed as a Reflecter, Hinako’s appearances change. Her hair turns blonde and she also gets different colored eyes. She fights using a glass-like sword.

    Yuuzuki Tsukasaki, Ramu Tsukasaki

The two sisters who suddenly appear in front of Hinako. They’re the ones that give her the powers to transform into a Reflector.

Blue Reflection is in development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game’s development is currently 30% complete.
