Sony's PlayStation VR headset requires around 60-square-feet of space and is designed for players to be seated while in use, according to a user guide on the PlayStation Asia website.

The guide also recommends that people try the headset before purchasing it to see how you feel playing VR.

"PS VR uses 3D vision technology," it says. "As there are individual difference in viewing 3D graphics and feeling of wearing VR headset, please try PS VR at shops or trial events before purchase."

There are also a few additional bits of information in the FAQ section, such as confirmation that those with glasses can still use PlayStation VR, but "there may be individual differences." Additionally, there are explanations of the Social Screen, Mirroring Mode, and Separate Mode.

Social Screen lets users play with their family and friends, while Mirroring Mode outputs the same image as the one on the VR headset to an external screen. Finally, Separate Mode lets the player with the headset play co-op/versus with players on the TV.

There's also a Cinematic Mode which allows users to "enjoy PS4 games, videos and other contents on a big screen created in a virtual space" by creating a big screen "up to 226 inch distant from 2.5m."

Finally, the target age of PlayStation VR is 12 years old or above. "Kids under 12 are not allowed to use VR headsets," it states.

PlayStation VR's release date has been confirmed as October 13, 2016. It will retail for $399. Sony has announced Driveclub VR will be available for the headset's launch in Japan.
