Next Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Game Arrives

    The Xbox One's backwards compatibility catalog grows again today.

    Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb announced on Twitter that Klei's 2012 hack-and-slash game Shank 2 is coming to the program today. It is the second new arrival this week, following Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which came to the catalog on Tuesday.


    Shank weighs in at 1.79 GB and should show up automatically in your game library if you already bought the digital game on Xbox 360. Newcomers can pick it up for $10.

    GameSpot's Shank 2 review scored the game a 6/10, praising its combo-heavy combat, but lamenting the level design that discouraged platforming in some sequences. It is a sequel to the 2010 original Shank, which is not in the backwards compatibility catalog.

    There are now more than 200 games in the Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup, all of which can be seen here. Microsoft does not release new titles into the program on a set schedule, but instead whenever they are ready.
