Think you're good at Rocket League? You can now sign up for the second Rocket League Championship Series event, which has a significantly larger prize pool than Season 1.

The prize pool for Season 2 is $250,000, which is more than three times the amount ($75,000) offered for the inaugural season earlier this year.

Once again, developer Psyonix has teamed up with video streaming site Twitch for Rocket League's competitive gaming event. Teams of three can now register for the event at its website.

"RLCS Season 2 is going to be awesome," Psyonix VP Jeremy Dunham said in a statement. "We learned a lot from Season 1 and so did our players, and we can't wait to apply that knowledge to the next competition. Our newer, more simplified format and bigger prize pools are a reflection of what our viewers, pros, and community have been asking for, and we're incredibly proud to give it to them."

More than 20,000 people across 6,100 teams competed in the first Rocket League Competitive Series. 2.3 million people watched matches, according to Twitch, while more than 1 million people watched the International Finals event alone, which culminated with iBuyPower Cosmic winning the whole thing.

Season 2 is a three-month event that starts with open qualifiers in September and ends with eight teams making it to the finals to split $125,000 in prize money. You can see a breakdown of the schedule on the Rocket League website. It's not immediately clear how much money the winning team gets.

Matches are played on PlayStation 4 and PC, not Xbox One.

In other Rocket League news, the game is getting an update in September that adds the crazy-looking, powerup-filled Rumble mode.
